Booking the Dump

Last post on this issue.
I have mentioned before my dislike of the booking system for the dump, and although I am not alone in my views I do seem to be in the minority.
Well rather than moan i contacted the council, and to my regret there are no plans to change the current system. A decision was made in January 2022 to make the booking system permanent. Apparently they carried out a survey of 25,000 people(not me) and 78% wanted to keep the booking system.

It takes a couple of minutes online and no queues when you get to the dump
Whats wrong with that ?

System works very well. One of the few improvements in local infrastructure since Brexit/Covid.

Delighted no plans to change current system. Easy and quick and ensures you're not stuck at the back of a long queue.

I echo previous posters. I am so glad they are keeping the booking system. Easy, efficient, no long queues. Usually get a same day booking - what's not to like.

Majority of, in fact all, disagree with the posters view across all posts, new system is great, quick, no queues etc, no wonder it’s been put into full time operation.
Maybe read the room a bit and stop spamming the forum with an isolated total minority of one viewpoint.

I think they have no reason to change it back if the majority of people are in favour of the system which has been operational since 2021. No queues what’s not to like?

When the booking system came in during the pandemic we were delighted with the new process and were glad that it continues. No queuing, a guaranteed space, a wider parking space either side. Be grateful there are people to run the recycling centre; it could easily have closed and then you'd have something to grouse about!!

I did mention the staff who run the recycling centre. I think they are marvellous to be there for our needs, rain, boiling sun, wind, snow etc. Get a grip AF and be thankful for the people who work there. Can't be very pleasant so thank you to them.
