I was surprised to see that someone was making a request to the Clothing Bank for an item to be used on their overseas holiday.
If they need to use the Clothing Bank surely they cannot afford to fly away for a holiday.
Its all a matter of priorities.
No more donations from me I'll sell my items to have a holiday

I have no idea of the situation but neither do you. Could be their first time away in a decade. Could be a relative's funeral. Could have been paid for by someone else for a very good reason. Could be any number of things. Let's be slower to judge others and quicker to show kindness and empathy.

BD I assume you are talking about liphook clothing bank ,the clothing bank is there primarily for families in need we get referrals from social workers ,foster carers , health visitors liphook food bank to name a few as well as private messages from individuals i keep a book of names and needs and donations go to these families first but it is also there for families who like to recycle and/or may just need a little help from time to time . If you read this months article in the community magazine you will see what we do throughout the year ,also what I do quietly behind the scenes daily for the liphook community.

Thank Jennie I wish that the keyboard warriors who complain endlessly on this site would just take time to do a little research and find out who to contact direct before posting on this site. Fair enough if you have spoken to the organisers/person directly responsible and received no joy, then post your complaint, but complaining on here as a first port of call is most unfair.
