I pad repair / reset

Anyone know of a IT guru who may be able to help with an I pad malfunction?
Or anyone who maybe had a similar issue and has resolved it? I pad pro approx 8 years old or so.
Have a disco screen that just won’t reset itself through a reboot. Tried on off ,all the usual but it’s just not clearing!
Does it need a new battery? It was fully charged,not hot and not dropped etc.
Any assistance appreciated.

Not really sure what you mean by disco screen but upon googling it appears that problems could be solved by going to settings - accessibility - then turn off colour filters. Or if you Google the particular problem the solution usually appears. There is also an apple helpline.

Thanks Joe,
It just repeatedly flashes white screen on / off.Fully charged.
Can’t get back to original settings.
Apple can’t help as they provide a code but can’t get the log in page to put the code in!
Enormously annoying.

Hi Susie I am no expert but it appears you may have to link your tablet to another device maybe. Smartphone, and then have the right software /or programme downloaded to repair it, or it may be beyond repair if it has been dropped it may have had some internal damage done.

Hi Joe,it hasn’t been dropped or stuffed in a back pack or anything like that.
It happened suddenly at home,it isn’t taken out and about,it isn’t left in the sun or anything else similar.
The problem occurred literally one afternoon and it’s now impossible to get back to the log in page,never mind settings.
Can’t be synchronized to ano device easily but I will be taking it somewhere!

It's worth whatever it's worth to you, but just be careful you're not spending more than it's worth, tech gets outdated very, very quickly nowadays, I find it's best to ask advice from someone under 10 years old,, we used to moan about cars being built into obsolescence, but they had nothing on the modern tech industry, my god they laugh at me for having a 4 year old phone! Back everything up into the cloud (no I don't know what that means either) and be prepared to pay through the nose for something made by child labour in Indonesia for 12p, it will cost hundreds or even thousands and no one will support it after a few years, and yet the kids say we were profligate with the world's resources!
