Open Reach gigabit voucher
- C (19th Apr 2023  15:02:57)

Following a campaign on Talkback and around Canada Way, I was persuded to sign up for this scheme in, I think, 2021.

Open Reach are now being pretty insistent that I sign up to their fibre internet emailing me very frequently, sending letters and now phoning as well.

I actually signed up with Swish. I realise I made a choice but I'm now wondering if there is any penalty for not going with an Open Reach provider?

I have asked on here before but didn't get any helpful responses.

When I last checked, BT Openreach have not enabled Liphook for fibre to the premises, whereas Swish are building out now, and supplying customers!"

I went with Swish because of this

It was a good install

I think the OP is asking whether he's breached any contract with Openreach by taking the voucher then not going with an Openreach provider.

I doubt if most of us would know, the only answer to that really would be to read the contract, because of course you're only bound by the things you sign. I didn't use the voucher (wasn't going in my street) so maybe somebody who signed it could help or else perhaps ask Openreach themselves? I got the impression neighbours were going in together on this?

Hello
I too am getting the same very persistent letter and emails as the OP.and Swish not yet available on Sainsburys estate.

Thanks for the replies.

Surely there is someone living in the Canada Way estate who signed up for this voucher after the local campaign and has since gone with Swish?

I would love to know if I can just ignore all of the chasing?
