One Day Left to Object!!
- Greenfingers (30th Mar 2023 18:40:02)
Re the 100 houses proposed to be built by Bloor Homes on the Poultry Farm, Chiltley Lane, you only have until close of business tomorrow, 31 March to submit your objection. See previous posts as to why this development will be so bad for the village and its inhabitants.
Objections can be made on-line via
[a]http://planningpublicaccess.easthants.gov.uk/online-applications/[t]planningpublicaccess.easthants.gov.uk/online-applications[c]
and the planning reference is 22789/007
There has been a huge groundswell of objections from across Liphook but every one counts so add your voice to the protest.

Wont make a blind bit of difference, these facilities are just there to give objectors the "feeling" of being involved and heard, minor adjustments might be made but in the end the developer and their legal team know the game and how to play it.

Don’t think so Sam if our district councillors stand up and back our Parrish council’s rejection of the plan . And the 300-400 objections EHDC will have to listen or they could be held in contempt of going against public opinion.

Interesting point you make RM about 300 to 400 objectors to the Poultry Farm application. I supported the Bohunt Manor application some years ago which you can see on the website, though it was refused. I looked at the website again just now and see that there was large support for that scheme; I counted around 800 supporting letters and only around 160 objection letters. What a contrast and our parish councillors should realise this. We should object to this application and today is the last day.

I think though as with any large development this application will not be decided quickly it could drag on and on. Although it was refused in 2014 EHDC later put the site into their proposed local plan which may have a bearing on the outcome this time.

You have hit the nail on the head Joe . EHDC are a complete shambles they refused this application twice then recommend it . They have not done their housing plan yet they seem to be in complete disarray. There are far better sites available in the right places. This site should never be included in the housing plans until there is a clear road to the A3 around the square.

If the EHDC planners pass this development it goes against all that’s sensible in planning. There is just no justification to pass this application when there are other sites much more suitable if we need more houses. Liphook has been ravaged by bad development decisions it’s time the liphook community came first. Developers have made a killing out of liphook with no remorse or any infrastructure enough is enough.

Well done & thank you to everyone who lodged comments about the chicken farm planning application. There is a grand total of 424 comments recorded, of which 407 were from members of the public. Those in support of this ridiculous application amounted did not make double figures.
The application will be listed for consideration by the planning committee in due course. When it does can you please take every opportunity to contact the EHDC councillors on that committee to continue to express your objections.
It is possible that the application will be withdrawn, flying pigs (or should that be chickens) are more likely.
Regards
Eric
