Donation to local Animal Rescue - Mick Sterbs (11th Dec 2022 09:52:47)
Whilst we’re all under pressure with rising costs (including me) the government insist on giving me a winter fuel payment each year which I never feel I deserve or need. Consequently I always pass it on to charities.
Does anyone know a local (or otherwise) Animal Rescue place that would be helped by such a donation. If I Google this I get all the big names but I really would like to make a difference to a smaller rescue centre.
Any thoughts?

Mick, that is so generous of you. I can't recommend highly enough Mane Chance horse sanctuary in Guildford
They are really struggling at the moment due to the cost of living crisis. If you have a look on their website you will see that they help children with learning disabilities or people suffering from the likes of PTSD.

Mick
That is a very kind gesture
Would also endorse Hydestile, and also Brent Lodge in Sidlesham near Chichester, 01243 641672, we help both as often as we can.

Hydestile. They are amazing.

How very generous!
I recommend Hart Wildlife in Medstead nr Alton. Looking after our precious hedgehogs among many others.

Another vote for Hart Wildlife Rescue! They are inundated with late-born hedgehogs over the winter, and are one of the few that will help with deer hit on roads.

Thanks so much for the suggestions, my £250 now spread between Hart, Hydestile and ManeChance. I’ve mentioned (where I can) that you have suggested them.
