EHDC Garden waste collection
- Terry (16th Jul 2022 13:51:05)
This posting is on the EHDC website
EHDC Bin Update header with all bins
We'll be back for your garden waste
We're pleased to let you know that next week, Norse South East crews will be doing everything they can to collect the missed garden waste collections this week.
From Monday 18 July crews will be making their way around the district to complete garden waste collections that were missed this week due to staff shortages.
Please make sure your bin is out and ready for collection at the earlier time of 6am (due to the current hot weather alert) and continue to leave it out until the collection is complete.
You only need to report a missed bin (rubbish, recycling, glass or garden waste) if you notice that your neighbour's collection has been completed, but yours hasn't.
Further information and updates will be provided on our website.

Just a thought, sorry if bit off topic but here goes.
Garden waste is not waste, misleading term, it's a valuable resource, fantastic organic fertiliser once composted (depending on how much pesticide etc the household used though), ready to be put back into the food chain, in fact I think that's what they do with it(hopefully, you never know anymore with our virtue signalling councils), but if it really was garden waste like old bits of treated fence or shed wood etc, we should be putting it in the green bin as it's highly toxic (yes the green bin, another council misnomer, the black bin is more green, which goes for recycling, or is it maybe a ship to the middle of the Pacific Ocean at night, never can be sure anymore, councils are fly tipping for us on a scale white van man couldn't dream of, being right on is so difficult!
Anyway, just thought I'd say! Incidentally I once bought a few bags of some council recycled compost, full of plastic bits, nails and God knows what else, complete dissapointment, never again!
