Closer to God
- Bramshott and Liphook Church (8th Jun 2022 22:16:45)
Are you looking for more peace, joy and love in your life? Then closer to God is for you! Whether you have a faith or no faith or half a faith! All you need is a willingness to try something new as each week we explore a different area of spirituality in a way that is accessible and fun. We'll be meeting at the Church Centre (GU30 7DJ) at 7:30pm on Monday 13th and 27th June and the 4th 11th and 18th July with an away day at a beautiful location on Saturday 16th July.

Can God get us cheaper petrol, a better standard of living, and bring our gas and electric down?? Can he spread the godly juice🤔

Had to laugh at the "godley juice". What is that if I may ask?

Interesting post and responses on social media 21st Century!
I'm only a Christian in name, call me culturally Christian though that's ok with me as my heritage still means something to me, even so am I alone in thinking there's nothing big about being disrespectful or ridiculing about people's faith for no purpose even though I understand Christianity now has a very poor rep? I don't suppose most 'real Christians' will answer as nowadays Christianity and Jesus are usually misinterpreted to be uninspiring, weak, meek and self deprecating among other things, tbh those kind of Christians today do no favour to modern people seeking faith, so part of me thinks good on the Vicar for putting these public classes, hope they change someone's life for the better!
PS I'm in favour of modern practices like women priests and equality before anyone starts, as I believe religion is as much about people as it is about slavishly worshipping some old written metaphorical words that clearly don't all apply today (there is no longer any need to slaughter the Amelakites and their families for example), but would be interested to know the stance or response of the local church before I would even consider going along and finding myself out of sync?
