Ducks for rehoming 2 brown females
- Mr B (23rd Apr 2022  21:53:35)

Hi Ed not sure if livestock is allowed on talkback? If so

We have 2 lonely female ducks looking for a new home, they have just lost their male friend.

What sort of ducks are they Mr B and roughly how old?

Could they not join the motley crew in Radford Park? (Admittedly I know nothing about duck husbandry!)

Is it not possible to introduce a new male duck, as ducks tend to be seasonal monogamists as opposed to swans that generally have long term monogamous bonds with each other. Seem a shame to lose family pets unless other circumstances dictate their rehoming.

It might be worth reading the current avian flu restrictions before moving your girls.

Well, I WAS interested but got no response to my question! I assume they have now found a good home.
