Best view to paint in Liphook area?
- paul (6th Apr 2022 14:20:44)
Hi,
As our village in on the boundaries of the South Downs National Park area, including Bohunt, and Foley Manor.
What is the best place to paint a landscape?
If sold for prints, funds raised will help a worthy local charity nominated.

If you are near the Prince of Wales pub there are lovely views up on the hill behind either towards the South Downs one way or looking over to Hammer Vale the other way.

Hi,
Great location idea Helen, thank you.
Did not know of location locally, and have lived and walked here for many years.

Yes spot on Helen, also has the best sunsets in the world, particularly in December. Weavers down looking west is also nice. The river has really nice spots too, very pretty in lower bramshott in several places.

Hi,
Great knowledge Anon.
Not our area but the country pub well worth a visit is the Three Horseshoes Elsted near Midhurst. It is so beautiful one feels part of the vista in-front.
To paint there looking at the South Downs amongst animals, and including local birds is a paradise to behold.
Might enjoy a glass of wine as well...

Take a look at Hill Brow. Think it’s called Oliver’s Place.
Drive out of Liphook towards Petersfield, through Rake, past The Flying Bull pub, up the hill and the amazing view is out to the left at the top of the hill.

You will struggle to find a better view than that from the top of Weavers Down. Stunning
